Vaccinations at Carrick Medical Centre

Baby and Childhood Immunisations

Immunisation is a simple, safe and effective way of protecting babies and children against certain diseases. The risks from having these diseases are far greater than the risk of any side effects from immunisation. A large proportion of the community needs to be vaccinated in order to prevent an outbreak of contagious diseases (ie. Measles). This is termed "Herd Immunity", and you are playing your part in creating a safer community by vaccinating your child.

At Carrick Medical Centre, we provide the Baby and Childhood Immunisations free to all pateints.

Influenza Vaccinations

Each year the seasonal (annual) Flu Vaccine contains three common Influenza virus strains.
The Influenza virus changes each year - this is why a new influenza vaccine has to be given each year.

The Influenza Vaccine is avalable from September / October every year, and we encourage all pateints to be vaccinated.
