If you wish to discuss illness certification, please phone reception with your query. You may be required to make an appointment to see a doctor prior to a certificate being issued.

TRAVEL VACCINES

Carrick Medical Centre is a provider of Travax guided travel vaccinations - please make an appointment to speak to our nurse who will guide you through the process of vaccination and malaria protection, before travel. Ideally, make your appointment up to 8 weeks in advance of travel.

CHRONIC DISEASE MONITORING

Free monitoring of chronic diseases such as Hypertension, Diabetes, Heart Failure, COPD, Asthma, Heart Disease, Atrial Fibrillation. Please ask at reception for details, or discuss with your doctor or nurse.

Blood Tests

Make an appointment for our Blood Clinic. Cholersterol, thyroid, liver and kidney function, full blood count, iron levels, prostate cancer, vitamin B, calcium and vitamin D levels. Results are available within one week.
Allergy screening blood tests also available, please discuss with your Doctor. 


Skin Biopsy, Minor Surgery and Joint Injections
We can biopsy most suspicious skin lesions, and joints like shoulders, wrists and knees can be injected for relief from pain and stiffness.


Travel Vaccine Clinic

All Travel Vaccinations are available on site in Carrick Medical Centre, including yellow fever documentation.

VENESECTION

We now perform Venesection (Taking units of blood) for patients with the iron overload condition of Haemochromatosis. There is no fee for DVC or GMS card holders. Please ask at reception.

We see Private, Medical Card, and Doctor Visit Card patients. 
Appointments are available from 9.30am to 5pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and  on Wednesday from 9.30am to 1230pm.

Visitors may be seen for urgent medical conditions if appropriate, however, wait times can vary depending on the pressures on a given day. We do not see patients of other local practices.
